Alan Marshall founded Marshall Thomas Burnett after years of practicing in the areas of sinkhole and personal injury
litigation. Mr. Marshall began his career as a trial lawyer more than 20
years ago, handling auto accident and other types of personal injury cases.
He is best known however, as a pioneer in the development of sinkhole
law in Florida.
In 1991, a group of homeowners founded the Dunedin Sinkhole Task Force due to
numerous sinkholes developing in the Patricia Estates area of Dunedin. This group
of over 100 homeowners hired Mr. Marshall to represent them. Over the course
of the next several years, Mr. Marshall continued his representation of these
homeowners and began to create the landscape for modern Florida sinkhole law.
As word of his dedication and expertise spread, his client base grew and he expanded
his practice. Mr. Marshall began training other attorneys in this new area of
law and went on to found the firm of Marshall, LeValley and Napolitano, P.L.,
which grew to be the largest law firm in Florida dealing exclusively with sinkhole
claims.
In continuing his innovative career, Mr. Marshall founded the firm of Marshall Thomas Burnett. After years of practicing law, Mr. Marshall found that a smaller, more personalized
firm ensures client satisfaction by providing each client the individualized
attention they deserve.
