Professional Background
Matthew Wilson joined Marshall Thomas Burnett in 2011 with more than 15 years of experience. Mr. Wilson is an AV rated lawyer who has been practicing in both the private and public sectors since 1996. Most recently, Mr. Wilson worked at a well regarded Tampa law firm focusing his practice primarily on the defense of auto accident, premises liability and complex civil liability claims. Mr. Wilson has tried numerous civil trials, prepared several appellate briefs in both State and Federal Court and has argued before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Wilson is also a former prosecutor, having tried over 70 cases ranging from petit theft to first degree murder. Mr. Wilson was recognized in 2002 for his service to the community by RID (Remove Intoxicated Drivers), the oldest anti-DUI organization in the United States.
